Has anybody read his book? Is it true? My dad is a ex-marine (24 years) and said that 90% was bulls**t.

Thoughts?

Thanks

But thats a difficult point if his dad is the main source of info about the marines he has, if his main source of marine info says 'bullshit' then how is he to form any other opinion? I think asking on here where other marines have an input was the right choice. Thats why I refered him to the discussion already had on the subject and left to make his own mind up.

He didn't say it was bullshit, he said somebody had told him it was bullshit and he wanted other opinions, quite a different thing. And the fact hes even asking the questions implies he may want to go in at some point, and will then be able to have his own experiences.

Here hes not asking about what his experience will be like, whether he should experience etc. what hes asking is whether Ste Preeces experience in the 80's was told accuratly in his book. These experiences RedTroop couldn't vaildate himself even if he wanted, no matter how hard he tries he will not be a new marine just leaving RT for 40 cdo in the 80's.

I don't really know what to say here - apart from GOOD LUCK to everyone going to PRMC or POC - remember: people here have been there and come out alive, pass or fail....its YOUR EFFORTS that count!!!
