Prmc passed WHey!!!
Well lads Passed PRmc , was a great laugh i personally thought , and basically was good fun and had a great bunch of lads. it was hard work but not the monst demanding thing i would say . Well ill write a diary either tommorow or sunday when i get chance and ill just give some brief info now .
3 miler -Easy well for me anyway long as your running 3 miles around 22.00mins then you'll do it . Lost 12 people on this
Gym test 1 - easiest test although very stict in gym and ptis are very scary fxxxxs real robot like hahahahaha (bend and stretch ahhh youll understand that when you get down)
bottom field / assault course- assault course was good fun , just do what they ask and you wont have a problem , also death slide was a good laugh just dont forget to unclip your rope like i did and i got a bollocking quite funny though hahaha
Gym test 2- 10 times harder then bottom field , just continuous gym stances , sprints , marking time like your holding a tray haha .
Anyway over all good fun , started with 56 ended with 22 , so fairly weak group , only reason why you will fail is all in your head , im only average fitness yet i still did well on everything.
Scores- bleep test-10.8
Press ups-60
sit ups -80
pull ups -6
assault course - Sxxt haha
but lads dont give up , smile have fun and just go for it .
Any questions ????

haha no problems matey honestly do NOT worry about it , i trained for 6 weeks for prmc , its all in the mind , honestly dont worry as long as you can run 3 miles without stopping at a reasonable pace then dont worry about the time you do it in . Honestly i got asked what training i used because it was so simple and easy to do , where as people who had trained for 6 months failed prmc. so just keep positive and youll pass

Prmc diary
Well thought id write a diary lads get it over and done with just got home today and im not tired (went to sleep on the train )
anyway ill give it my best .Remember any questions and ill be happy to answer them.
This is written for anyone wanting to know what happends during your 3 day Potential royal marines course at lympstone commando .
Tuesday- Arrived at lympstone commando at around 4.00 we walked upto prmc block with the corporal at the front got all of our stuff in the lockers . e.t.c and went for a prmc lecture . After that we all went to scran , came back the corporal had a chat and told us to ask any questions . Watched a few films and went to bed.
Wednesday-woke 5.45 showered , shaved , then went to scran foods pretty good but dont load up to much before phys.Did all of our cleaning and got outside in 3 ranks , and did a little bit of basic parade which was good fun .......... i suppose haha .Then we came back , got changed into p.t gear , then got outside met the pti then went outside of lympstone commando across the road and did a short warm up , nothing too taxing.
3 MILER-Run at steady pace all way round nice and slow no sprints in our run just run steady thorughout , lost twelve lazy cxxxs on this. They were all fit enough they just couldn't be arsed)Got back to park across road did a short cool down , drank loads of water and got a lecture on our trainers haha . Nothing too taxing lads just keep going .
We went for scran after this , had a shower e.t.c , we then later got changed into p.t kit. got down to gym test 1 , we had to do it in the parade hall due to pass outs been in the gym .
Gym tests 1- REMEMBER NO SCRATCHING OR FIDGETING AND ALWAYS MARKING TIME UNLESS TOLD NOT TOO .
Did the bleep test then walked round in circle until last blokes finished it , you should be aiming for above 10 on this , we then had to do press ups , which you could rest in locked arms position , You can do so much more down here so dont worry . Then situps , all out effort once again you can do so much more . Then we went down to the gym to do pull ups , Most people whacked out 5-6 even in this tired state.REMEMBER ALWAYS MARKING TIME .
get back, showered, have scran get back and go to another lecture , on weapons e.t.c
THURSDAY-Got up at around 5.50 had usual shower , shave e.t.c . Then went for lecture and then went down to the dreaded bottom field area . But first we did the death slide which was a right laugh just make sure you chuck yourself off quickly otherwise you mite end up dangling in the middle hhahahaha .
BOTTOM FIELD- assault course -firstly did high obsticle course practiced on low ropes first then did higher one which was about 20 feet in the air not too difficult just dont look down. assault course we did a 10 minute warm up before assault course , this was harder then gym test 1 warm up ,it involved quite bit of running round walls and stuff , once again ALWAYS MARKING TIME . anway we had a good practice on everything before we did the timed run . In the end wasn't too hard just get round get it done and use correct tecniue otherwise you get a bollocking but its all easy to understand
Bottom field- 25 minutes or about that of sprinting around walls, cones and scramble nets. after each sprint straight back to corporal wherever he was whilst marking time then had to do what he said .E.G - touch the floor , lay on you back , lay on your front , 10 press ups -10 sit ups up hill e.t.c the more running . The body weight exercises were a great chance to get your breath back so take advantage of it . Overall not as hard as i thought it would be although it was very hard. just stick at it REMEMBEr all in the mind .
Gt back shower E.t.c , then section commanders interview they justtell you how your doing and a few qeuestions are asked e.g how your liking it and a few about the corps.
Gym test 2, 5 team stances like carrying ammo boxes, jumping over big boxes ,e.t.c . This in my opinion was the hardest thing , it was so tiring you didn;t have any rests what so ever . You're always moving just stick at it and get it done.
There are some 15 mintue hard out sprints at the end its a bit cheeky of them but just get it done as hard as you can and theyll finsish it faster.
Got back , met the diamonds later, had shower e.t.c . Diamonds just told us what happens in training, some bad some good but you'll find out soon enough.
Watched a film , was going to do ccq but they said we might use it to kill someone on the train home haahah so they didn't . So we wathced week 9 gym pass out which was quite interesting .
Anyway you know the rest got to bed . woke up on friday tidied up , ate , showered , short easy test , questionaire , then got on the train and went home at around 11.00am

Re: Prmc diary
Are you serious? they just gave in? Were they just along for the ride.. or did they really want to be royal marines?jacko1234 wrote: 3 MILER-Run at steady pace all way round nice and slow no sprints in our run just run steady thorughout , lost twelve lazy cxxxs on this. They were all fit enough they just couldn't be arsed)

Yeah 12 guys is alot, thought it was bad when 5 dropped out on my 3miler.
Its amazing how many guys do drop out of the 3miler, as they must have run that distance or more many times, and they know that the 3miler will happen months in advance.
One guy on my PRMC was on hes second attempt and he failed the 3miler previously and then failed it again on hes second attempt, just makes you think why these guys are taking up spaces when someone who really wants to join has to wait longer for a space.

Yeh there was one lad on our prmc , not going to name any names.... he did no preparation and his attitude was sxxx. He got 50m got a stitch then gave up 2 minutes later on the 3 miler , most of the other twelve got about 2 miles.
