no but later in your career you may be required to gain your wings for say brigade recce force etc
ex nod was diagnosed with chronic compartment syndrome rejoining eventually.

currently in australia as im traveling the world before i rejoin the marines.

Down at CTCRM i saw aload of marines that were para trained. I think its somthing most mairnes go off and do.

I know i deffo will be going for that.
Joined the Corps as a recruit in 2007, Still in today :D

The plus to para training is the extra dosh. Once I hacked the course I got an extra two quid a day which in the seventies was a nice little bit of extra cash.

Right i think since i was guna do it anyway thtas thats a great incentive really, get to jump for free, earn your wings, and get paid a little extra, marvelous

if i pass RT i really want to go recce troop, do you get your wings automaticaly if you get onto the troop? obviously youd have to do the course, but wondering if you got into BRT then they put you on the para course?

Not many bootnecks get to do a jumps course nowadays unless it is required for their job, eg. BRF. It is still possible to find the odd place on a course, but far from common. Jumps pay is also now only paid when you are in a job that requires you to use it, if for example you gained your wings and later got drafted to a normal grav section you wouldn't get your extra pay.
