P Company Test Week
P Company Test Week
I have just put on google videos, a video of the test week from P Company. This was actually taken by the paras with the intention of being used as a training aid to show potential paras what each test involves. It was taken in 2005 so is pretty up to date.

I also have a 1 hour video of milling which I am hoping to get online when I get some spare time
Enjoy

I loved the trainasium section, i think its the one test that i'm looking forward to the most.
Isn't it meant to be a test to see whether you would have the courage to jump out of a plane or not? If so, i'm a skydiver and i know for sure that i'll be bricking it when it comes to going across. I think the test should be the other way around, jump out of a plane to see if you dare do the trainasium!! haha

It sure is, i know that each time i jump i have a rig attached to me with 2 canopies (1 reserve), if 1 doesn't open i know the other will. Fall from the trainasium on the other hand and you got no parachute anywhere in site.
All that said though, i think my mind has probably been warped as i find it difficult to remember how scared i actually was on my 1st jump course some 3 years ago. I think i actually said bye to all my family on the way to altitude (which was only 4,000ft as it was static line) so i must have been bricking it!! hehe
Most of it is mind games i think, it can be quite easy to talk yourself out of doing something that seems scary. I tend to just do things now whether it scares me or not. No doubt it'll land me in hot water some day!
Until then though, Blue Skies all the way

The Trainasium varies in height between 30ft - 60ft and your right, there are no safety ropes!!
To be honest, I found it the easiest test. Dont get me wrong, if you have any doubts about heights your gonna find it tough, but at the end of the day if you were 12 years old you would throw yourself round it like its a big fck off climbing frame - why should it be any different as an adult?
Its just a test of bottle and the key thing is to go at it like a man possesed - DONT hesitate on any part of it and make sure you go when the command is given.
