British Ex-pat looking to join

Post by Kikaku »

I'm a British ex-pat currently living in Malaysia.
I've been out of the country since the age of 7. I returned to the the UK in 2001 to do my A-levels, and re-sit some GCSE's. This was roughly for 1 year, then I left to return to Malaysia. This was the last time that I was a resident of the UK. Will this present any problems in joining ? especially in the security clearence department ?

It will draw out the recruitment process, but shouldn't be a problem as such. Will just take a little longer to get everything through.

MY Parentage?

Love the country been there x3, x2 to Penang (great food) and then to KL and up to the Genting Highlands. One of my fave places to visits and would love to get to Borneo sometime.

And MY connections will be useful for the obvious reasons

Cheers boys,
Thanks for in the input. I'm 100 % English, so are both my parents.
My dad is in the Oil and Gas game, so moving around is inevitable :D
I lived in Spain at one point, and that's when I did my GCSE's.

It wasn't untill 2001 when I returned to the UK at 18, to re-sit a few, and take an As level in Spanish. I have a British passport, so that's all thar counts right ?

Kikaku,

Alright mate. Coming from Oz they thought that it might have been a problem but as long as you have that british passport should be no dramas. I havent had any in my whole application. Best of luck mate hope to see you around the decks one day.

Regards

Oz
