Yep, you get paid the amount it says you do on entry.
And once you pass out it goes up relatively quickly....according to my AFCO.

Come on fella..serously..

Not getting paid for eight odd months or more??? :o

and you say it doesnt really matter...

Who would pay your credit card bills, your mobile bills, loan repayments, student loans, and so on and on?

What would you do on leave? steal food and live in cardboard box for two or three weeks.

YES you get paid during training.

When we were on prmc they told us you get 700 quid to take home after tax and food and accomodation is taken out. Think during the first few weeks might take a while before the pay is sorted out to your bank account but after that should be in your bank every month.

Oie reckon half you buggers would pay to do the course!

I got £11 a week when I joined up. Most of that in the first few weeks went on stuff like Steam irons, Dhoby kit, Boot Polish and other stuff. Later most went on ALE at the Saturday night Nods Hop in the NAAFI.

And a good Porn mag Sunday morning. Never trapped!!!! :D

You will only get paid once you have STARTED training.

Hopefully it will start to go into your bank from the first pay date once you have started RT. Your pay slips explain it all for you, i.e what you have been taxed, what you have paid for food and accomidation (next to nothing) and your overall payment.

well that is sort of my plan, doin the royal marines for years to come, out of there into the met police or some police force, they are hardly going to turn you down with a royal marines commando experiance. And to be honest the pay in the marines is fairly good when you think your food accomodation cloths etc have been paid for. I get a standard crappy wage of roughly £750.00 but after tax etc its crap. So Marine pay is looking good to me, and its gets better once you pass out, and better once you specialise i believe
