OZ joining the paras

Post by chriszg_oz »

G'day mates! I'm new to the forum so I might as well introduce myself first. My names Chris, I'm OZ but currently live in Croatia. I have a few questions about joining the paras. 1) Can I join even if I'm Australian? 2) Any special requirements, regulations I need to know about (like having a UK sponsor or residence in the UK? Thanks, cheers! :D

Hi - welcome mate. Oz in Croatia? f@#k that about!?!?

Anyway mate I cant help you here, theres lots on the board about this sort of thing though so get searching!

What I can do for you is give you the link to speak to an online WO2 for the British Army, here you can ask him all the questions you like.

G'day mate

Yeah a fellow aussie here applying for the Royal marines. I have Dual passports so thats how i get around that little tangle. I was in the Reserves back home and did some work with 3RAR and they are a total bunch of professionals with good equipment and NCO's ( from what i did with them).

Mate maybe you want to look into joining them. you will still earn your wings and be trained to a very high standard.

Hey Im also another Australian from Perth going through my Royal marines application. Got my PRMC next month mate, You have to be currently living in the UK with a pernament address but any commonwealth country citizen can join for example.. Australia.

So make the move to England and sign up. IF they say you have to be in England for atleast 6 months, its utter bollocks you can join as soon as you get a pernament address.

Just Lie back and think of England.
