I'm new... :)

Hey all!

I'm new to the place, i stumbled across it when researching the fitness needs to join the army (and thanks for the info ;))

I'm not long since 17 (well July) and from west yorkshire and i'm in upper-sixth at college, i'd originally planned to join the police but after chatting to some wandering around town they didnt seem too enthusiastic about their job. so i had a look at some similar careers and the army looks brilliant having not considered it before

alot of work to go on my biceps/triceps before i join the army as i'm 6'3 and have quite weedy arms. i can run miles and miles and do hundreds of situps though so im not too worried about that. just concentrating on my upper body strength and ill be at peace of mind joining the army

Do well on the BARB and you could try and join the RMP, if they'll have you, and then you can have your cake and eat it too.

Glad we could be of assistance, the idea of MFAT was always to promote health, fitness etc regardless of whether ppl joined the mob or not. I would keep posting - in relation to the arms keep wprking at it with some bicep curls, press ups etc to build up muscles and help with stamina
