was it SAS that shot suspect doay in london?

Post by mitch1985 »

im sure youve all heard on news that a man was chased by 3 people in normal clothing carrying hand guns. and also that a witnessed told the bbc that 2 of the men pinned him down and the other shot him sommit like 5 times less than a metre away. can the police actually do this? i didnt thhink they even could carry guns (only the armed police - So19 is it?)

it kinda seems that it could be the SAS undercover, what does anyone else think. whatever happened though, it was ruthless, and sounds like the work of the SAS)

anyone know about this sort of stuff, sas going undercover etc?

I doubt this was the SAS as this doesn't seem like something they would do, not that I claim to know what the SAS do or don't do.

The reason I think this is because the reports I heard said that the undercover team had been following the guy. This would lead me to believe that they were either Secret Service Operators or Special Branch. They are trained to follow suspects as part of there everyday job and are leading the investigations. Where as the SAS are trained in close recce which is basically to observe a target from a hidden position. It definatley sounds more like a police type opporation than a military one.

Actually I would think that they would use 14 Int (or whatever it's called now) for this kind of stuff before the SAS.

Please stop posting this type of SHAZBAT!
It's pointless and just annoys people who actually know something about the subject!

OK OK time to clear this one up once and for all; it was me!

I am the only member of a unique specialist organisation that recruits soley from awesome and fantastic units (you know my background H_N!!!). The reason I am the only member is because if there were more then it wouldn't be a secret.

So lets stop the speculation and try and keep a lid on it to protect my and my units identity.

Well considering the man could have been a suicide bomber im sure they would be allowed to blast him, Cause if you think of it, if you were running away then fell over about to be caught that would be the most likely time to detonate, so I think thats why they shot him to eliminate any threat. After all the guys jacket was supposed to be pretty bulked up. Unfourtunatly for the guy, it wasnt bulked up because of some kevlar, ayyyee

It was not an SAS man.
For a start, the SAS would not be involved at this stage. The police closely guard their status as the guardians of British justice.
They would not allow the SAS in without prior approval.!
The SAS probably trained a lot of the police guys.
I'me not quite sure why 5 shots, in the head, were necessary but in the circumstances, it doesn't really matter.

Sad thing is that he wasnt even a terror suspect - he came out of a house that was under observation, but didnt have anything on them. Police probably did the right thing though. If it did turn out to be a bomber and they didnt take any action, there could have been dozens of civilians dead. The frightening thing is that the extremists will exploit this, and claim that the British are murdering muslims at random.

It doesnt matter if they were SAS or not. The express and sun are always the first ones to suggest this, but how the hell would they know in the first place? They are just saying that to boost sales. It doesnt matter either wherever they put one bullet in him or a whole magazine - if you need to kill someone you make sure first time round.

like the little yellow cards you get on the main gate sticks, which in essence says "let them blow the fark out of the camp then shout a warning then shoot above their heads"
