Hi Mutley,

We are hoping to make a major change to the forum over the weekend, a much needed upgrade. This will bring many new functions to the forum.
An example:

Always notify me of replies:
Sends an email when someone replies to a topic you have posted in. This can be changed whenever you post.

Notify on new Private Message:

Pop up window on new Private Message:
Some templates may open a new window to inform you when new private messages arrive.

Plus many more.

Im not sure its a private message bug that you mention, might have something to do with your cookie settings within IE.
Unless anyone else is having the same problem.
