How Hard should i push myself?
Im wanting to join the royal marines next year but i dont no how much i should be doing, i have a fitness guide although, can someone tell me how hard the PRMC is ? that would be a great help as i can actually tell how hard i have to work.
Im currently concentrating on running i can do 4 miles in under 27mins ? is that good i dont really no :S

Four miles in 27 is about the right standard for PRMC. Have a look around, use the search, there's loads of accounts of PRMC. There's also a sticky at the top of this forum, PRMC diary.
Word of warning, for common questions like these, search and look before asking, they've been covered many times before, and the old and bold will use any excuse to get grouchy

4 miles in 27 mins is very good, If you have the upperbody and sprinting cracked then you'll have no trouble at prmc.
Remember sprinting though, I failed my first prmc because i concentrated on just doing 3 miles in under 21 mins, Just wasn't prepared for the ammount of sprinting you do before most of the exercises. We all had to run to the other side of the gym about 6 times for various reasons before we even did gym test 1. Most of us were f**ked before it even started!!! lol But that was the same with nearly all the exercises.

Until you sweat blood, your hearts beating so fast that its all you can hear. Until your breathing so hard your lungs feel like they are ready to explode through your rib cage.how hard should i push myself
Until all you can taste is a mixture of sweat and bile, until your vision is blurry and every inch of you is aching. Then when your body is saying WTF are you doing to me go those extra 10 yards.
The above is my interpretation of the RM adverts that have been on TV over the last few months.
Alternatively, you could get a heart rate monitor and train within your training zones. But they can be quite pricey.

if he wants to advertise overtraining thats the way to go, yeah.
dont over exagerate.
training needs to be sufficient to get the individual to pass their prmc (in this case)
everyone is different.
training should not kill u EVERY workout, it should be balanced with hard and easier workouts. If u do otherwise, and do it till 'you feel ill or your lungs will burst, or your calves want to pop' id be the first to put a substancial bet that you will have an injury in the next 1-2 months.
too many f@#k wannabe rambos on this forum.
