Got my green beret!!

Post by Andy »

Hi guys,

Well, i did it! Last tuesday i successfully completed the 30 miler and was awarded my green beret and commandos flashes in the pouring rain and bloody wind.
By far it was undoubtedly the proudest day of my life and it still hasn't quite sunk in that im a Royal Marines Commando!!

Ive now got 2 weeks leave before i go back for my weeks kings squad.

I just wanted to write a quick note to the administrators of this site and all you guys that use it. This sight has helped me immensely. From before signing the application form i used this site to answer any questions i had, and it was great to meet like minded people who are striving to achieve the same thing. Thank you for all your help and i wish each and everyone you the very best of luck. IT IS ACHIEVABLE!!

To those of you in the later stages of training; you're there, i pray you just don't get injured.
To those who have just started this whole process, or who are in the early stages of training; hang in there. It does get better. It is worth going through all this shit for. You'll lose focus of why you joined in the first place, but don't quit. I can guarantee you'll regret it for the rest of your lives. YOUR green beret is there for the taking. The only thing stopping you is yourself!!

Right, sorry but i have to shoot off. Ive got my beret to shape and my Commando flashes to sew on.

If anyone has got any questions at all ill be only to happy to do my best to answer them.

The best of luck to you all...

Andy

P.S how many recruits passed training? and what was the hardest part?
