Bleep Test

Post by Mr Mojo Risin »

Out of interest, ive been googling this for ages, and cant seem to find an hour.

Im guessing that a vo2 bleep test (like the one done at CTC) will provide the PTIs' an individuals VO2 max score in ml/Kg/Min. But does anyone know how to work it out?

We don't do the Bleep test to measure your oxygen per Ml of blood level. We have a score sheet we use to assess your fitness (as a combined test with Press-ups/ Sit-ups/ Pull-ups).

We can set individual levels for each of the individual test components, or set a score level achievable across all component levels. For instance a Commando unit requirement is to achieve 365 out of 400 overall.

We have tests to measure your performance at any stage in training, so we don't really need to know what your blood oxygen levels are. 8)

What does this number equal though skiffle in terms of run times, number of pressups / situps / pullups etc.

Jerbediah, since may, i have - worked. Trying to pay off debts, train and still meet with friends/family is hard work i tell ya. ive paid off about 3k this year so its not all been a loss. But, CV has improved loads. Which was why i wanted to see if i could test my own VO2 max and compare it to last years bleep results. Ive kept in touch with the AFCO, and have an aquaint day beginning of april, no solid dates yet though. I guess they want to ensure ive kept myself lean and mean since last year before packing me off to Lympstone.

Im gutted its taken so long, but ive always thought that if i had not paid off so much of my debts, then id be coming out quicker than i went in since i would have no money to myself for little things, like beer, and women

Every bleep test is the same, its the distance of the shuttle that varies. Schools may only use a 15m shuttle, (mine did, and so do my bro's school) the prmc uses full length 20m shuttles.
