Transfer ??

Post by AlphA »

Hello All.
Just wondered does anybody know if it’s possible to transfer to Para reg training whilst at ITC doing infantry training for a line reg?

Now I know about and would expect all the insults etc from the rest of the lads an NCO’s at Para depot so no need to bother pointing out the obvious :P

Any info on this matter would be greatly appreciated

Cheers AlphA

Finish your Infantry training and once you are a trained soldier put in for the P Course and join the Para's that way. A number of soldiers often join the Para's this way, I went from a County Regiment into the Para's this way, mind you it was a few years ago.

Providing nothing has changed, I do belive it is possible. This is because there was one platoon I was on exercise with (para), who had about 5 line-reg guys come on exercise, to see what it was like, as they wanted to transfer to the Paras. In the end none of them did, as they did not like what they found, bit too hard for them.
