does anyone know if we will get payed for xmas leave or not. i start on monday and i will have been there three weeks when they give us the two weeks leave and two weeks a long time to go without money
you want it bad enough, you will get it.

Iv been wondering the same the same thing. i start a week on monday 890 troop. do u know when crimbo leave starts. iv been told 16th 17th 18th and 19th.

You should still get paid for the xmas leave, i think its part of the holidays stipulated.

If you's have your contract then take a read through that and it will be explained there.

cheers mark. and bennett ive been told that its either the 17th or 18th i think its probably the 17th for me as its the same day as our parents come and visit us.

I specifically asked this question at my pre entry briefing two weeks ago. All recruits are paid while on the leave, however there may be a problem for those starting initail trainning in December as their payroll accounts may not be set up. I was also told that an emergency cash payment would be issued in place of a paycheck if this were to happen, but it wouldn't be to the full ammount of regular pay and would have to be paid back over a number of months. So, what ever happens you will have some money in your pocket for Christmas, but keep your fingers crossed that you are in early enough to have your pay account set up. Good luck on starting training, see you down there when I start on the on the 6th!
