You guys make joining VERY DIFFICULT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Im a South African citizen, and want to join the paras, which I can since I am in a common-Wealth nation.

SOME BIG PROBLEMS THAT MAKE IT DIFFICULT:

-I can't join as an Officer even if I have college, theres a residency requirement

-Can only join as a soldier, have to pay for plane ride

-I NEED A FREAKIN SPONSOR !!!!!!!!! this is outrageous....for, get this 4-5 months !!!!!!!!!

So for 4-5 months I have to be sitting on my ass in someones house (cant be a hotel) doing a couple test and physicals which only take 2-3 days out of those 4-5 months.

-After all that shit I get in as a soldier, its like the uk is doing EVERYTHING in their power to keep foreigneers out, and I tought that they WERE SHORT ON PEOPLE....lol

-The requirements are ridiculus, has anyone done this b4? If so what was your experience ??

I dont think you can say that sort of thing in this day and age of Political Correctness, and i dont think its true either. I know that there are plenty of foreign soldiers/officers in the reg and im sure they are not making it difficult just for you...so where there is a will, there is a way.

you said " have to pay for plane ride", I can't believe you thought they would pay for yours. Think of all the free plane rides you will get if you get into the Para's. Mind you they throw out half way there.

Well I tell you what I am not letting this stop me but it would be easyer if it dindt take so long for simle texts.

I am going to make a big fuss about this when I get in, some people wait years which is ridiculous since only like 50% of the ones that apply make it in, there has to be a better way to "weed-out" the weak ones so that only people that REALLY want this can join more easyly with-out such wait. It pisses me off how some people go to selection and f@#k AROUND !!!!!!! I wanna punch their heads in all of them, cuz of them we have to wait 6 months, thats six months of repeated phone calls and a lot of hasle, as for me I think the recruitment process should be the easytest one for a soldier get in, not good enough, get the fudge out, thank you.

You are not the only one who has to wait ages. Just be patient and wait your turn like everyone else has to. If you want it enough, then you will wait untill the application process goes through.
