I would like to pass on the following message from a spanish visitor and veteran:
A basic translation to:
I do not speak the english language, i can in spanish send a few words to them.
Is it possible that somebody understands and answers.
In the Falklands War of '82, I was the Great Sergeant Major of the No' 5 Infanteria de Marina Battalion.
68 years sailed by today and i remembered while i encountered this website.
I would like to send a warm greeting to the British Veterans of that war.
Jorge Hernandez Greater Sergeant Major of IM (Ret)
Any comments welcome.

That man is an example to us all: dont bear grudges and swallow your pride.
Good on him.

An example to us all, maybe we should all take a leaf out of his book and lay a few ghosts to rest. Like it has been said life is too short.

yes its heart warming an' all that, but what in the name of jumping jehovo's is a "Great Sergeant Major" coz I aint ever met one.
Seems to me to be a high opinion.
If he was that "great" he should have pulled his blokes off tumbledown before the jocks started smiting them with 12" steel.

One of the very few wars where both sides used the FAL rifles.
The Argents FAL (metric- Rosario) The British L1A1 (inch-Enfield)
Appointments to the US Supreme Court will be the pivotal battle that wins or loses the war over the Second Amendment in America.

I believe there were a lot more SLR LIAI's on the battlefield on your side than machine guns, No?

I would guess that the title "Great Sgt. Major" is our equivilant of RSM?
Any body else got any guesses?
