For a good speed I would have it between 15-16kph (or however they are measured).

but you are doomed if you don’t try.

Yeh, just dont fall over and send your ass through the wall behind you going too fast. Its bloody hilarious when someone else does it though.

you'll probably get a better time on a track than a treadmill. I never go as fast as i should on one because of the fear of falling over and looking an arse/ being seriously injured.

The machine I did it on went up to god knows what, I set it on 16, pressed go and promptly hit the panic-stop...turns out it was in mph  Had to restart.

16kph/10mph will be just over a 9 minute time, anything above that you're doing pretty well.

My most recent time was 8:05 thats after doing it as a troop first for a mile and half and then as a best effort. Some lads in my trrop were getting 7:30 and that i came in around 19th. My first time 10 weeks ago was 9:27 so you can see how much the Pti's thrash you to get you fitter.
Listen in men give 100% or i will thrash you till your eyes bleed!

I did my official PJFT in 9:38, which I was pretty dissapointed in, but I did have a cold and couldn't breath properly :x A few weeks before hand and I was doing it in around 9:00-9:10. Like the others say if you set it to 16kph, you'll breeze it. Any way, I got my PRMC on the 1st, 2nd and 3rd of september, so I'm moving into the Gym, and doing press-ups in my sleep! :o
Now then, then now, now then now, now then. Never poo poo a poo poo. Damned stout fellow.

apriliars50:

A. Soon as you turn 17, do your full license and get a proper bike...do your test, buy something that doesn't look too powerful but is, and screw the 33bhp restriction
B. If your 1.5 mile time is that good, forget about it, start running 3 and 5 milers (not on a treadmill) and doing fartlek training. But it sounds like you're doing pretty well.

thanks for ripping my bike  lol and cheers for the advice, on friday i ran 4.5 miles just at a getile pace to get a feel for it. what would you say a good time for 4.5 miles is? im guessing around 25-30 mins?

Idealy a nod should be running 6 miles in 40? is that right?

cheers

I'd aim for 3 miles in under 20 minutes, any longer distances just aim for less than 7 minute miles (so 4.5 miles in 31 minutes is alright). Obviously the faster the better, but that as a guide is where you need to be before you start training.
