Medical on tuesday

Post by BigFatCivvy »

Passed my written test and my interview. Just got my medical next tuesday, and feel really nervous about it. I guess it's because it's totally out of my control, all I can do is turn up and hope for the best! Eeeek..... :o My careers officer told me that my eyesight only needs to be "correctable to 20/20", which relieved me a bit, since my eyesight isn't a 100% (not bad, just not great).

Can anyone tell me how long you have to wait before you find out if you've passed your medical?
Now then, then now, now then now, now then. Never poo poo a poo poo. Damned stout fellow.

Do you wear glasses or contacts seems your vision only needs to be "correctable to 20/20" and you say you dont have perfect vision - If you dont mind me asking?

Cheers

No I've never worn glasses or contacts. My eyesight is fine in general, but I might have a bit of trouble reading a number plate at 50m for example. My eyesight goes up and down, and I think it has quite a lot to do with the fact I don't sleep too much. It gets better when I have rested for a sensible amount of time. Other than that, it's ok  Anyway, fingers crossed, cheers for your help.

I think pretty much everybody's eyesight would drop if they didn't sleep too much, so I wouldn't worry about it. If you don't have any noticable problems (such as headaches after watching TV or reading for any length of time) than it's very unlikely that there's anything wrong with your eyes, let alone something that cannot be corrected by glasses.
