Post by jclark20000 »

Hi all,

Does any one have there prmc in july.

What sort of traning standards are you up to at the moment?

Good luck you guys taking prmc i failed mine in febuary i fell off the plank on the high obstacle course, pretty stupid i know but it was windy as hell.

Be prepared for bottom field its amzing what the human body can achieve when pushed.

I'm hoping for a PRMC in August so not too long after yourself.

How did you get on with the rest of your PRMC?

not bad the first gym test was a shock to the system as i had`nt done a bleep test b4 but after that it was ok . Five or six guys puked one passed out but the pti`s let them carry on .

day two was hell as the fall buggered my knee plus because one of the scousers didnt make his bed we had to do a two mile run staright into the 3 miler .

Its good fun though in a sick way

I've got mine next Tuesday, as has davo141. I'm current getting:

50-60 Pressups
50-60 Situps
6 Pullups
Around 18 Minutes for 3 Miles

I think my scores are pretty decent, though I can't see myself passing on just that so I'm gonna make sure I put 200% into everything.

:D

Yeah I think most of the people on here enjoyed their PRMC's in a sadistic kind of way!

How come you've had to wait until July before trying again?

yeah its the only giving 200% constantly.

I have a mate already passed out and now in Norway and he says that the requirments are a guide if you dont hit them all dont worry as long as they can see you are putting in that 200% you`ll be fine mate.

make sure you dig out blind on bottom field cause that is when they are watching you the most

Good luck mate

So puking is marked as a bad thing on your PRMC? i would of thought it showed real determination?

they dont really see it as a bad thing as long as you dont puke on thier shiny floor they tell you to pull your top up and puke it that

Ive been doing quite a lot of fast stuff like sprinting and fartleks since PRMC i was going running 20 miles a week but that didnt do me much good so ive been swimming and rowing aswell now. Ive got the upper body sorted I just hope the distance running is progressive as I had sore shins before and just after my PRMC but my right one is fine now and my left is about 90% should be ok though. Im looking forward to it!

Sure you will be able to crack it mate. I had the same problems with my legs but in the marines i was told you have to grin and bear like most other things in the 32 weeks

Spoke to my carrers officer today and he said he was bidding for a place for me for the first wek in july, so maybe on the same one as you. Currently doing : 45 press up's, 65 sit up's, 5 pull up's and the 3 miler in about 23 minutes - which I know is crap but just started ruuning again due to shin splints, so should get quicker. To be honest my training had slacked off a bit but now I've got something to aim for I will definatetly put my arse in gear and do more cardio ( cycling, rowing, cross trainer, sprints, swimming etc ) aswell as carrying on with the weights. Any tips you've got would be very welcome and how's your training going?
