I would class any infantry not in the Mech or amoured role as light infantry. even in the specialised role of jungle, desert or mountain.
THE LInfantry are the LI's and the RGJ'sbut this is a more historical and dogmatic consern rather than opperational.
The Para'shave have operated as LI only for many years
