Training Help !!!!!!
I live in germany, just north of osnabruck and have just handed my forms in to the careers office
.Where i live is a bit remote so running is no problem out here as there are plenty of tracks and hills. As a rule i do 100 sit ups and pressups in the morning and then twice more during the day. Regarding my situps what is the best way to do them as i dont seem to get and stronger in that department. I feel at the moment that i am lacking in some thing. I cant go to a gym as there isnt one close and that would mean i have to speak german which i cant yet
. Many people on here talk of circuit training, could some one give me some more ideas on what to do in this respect, i have no one to train with so i have to work hard to keep motivated. Any help with my training program would be appreciated. ..........MANY THANKS IN ADVANCE
I'mnot an expert i'm just going through the recruitment process and training myself.
Do you have your own weight lifting bench? (if not you can get a half decent one cheap as chips.)
If so i would use the basic movements only, this will really help you develop strength. For each exercise do one or two "light" sets as a warm up then a set of 15 reps to get yourself going then 2 sets of 6-8reps.
These are the basic ovements:
1. Squats
2. Standing military press
3. Barbell bent-over row
4. Bench press
5. Barbell curls
6. dead lift.

I would only do this twice a week. on the other days just concentrate on running, push ups, sit ups and chins.

The medical gets done at the RSC before you even start any exercise,and i hope im fine - well everything works good.
The medical side of my application form went through fine and my security clearence is all sorted. So its only the RSC in my way, which will not be a problem as ill give it 110%
If you dont mind me asking, what regiment are you joining and what trade etc?
by the way, you can squeeze out 5 more sit ups

I wouldnt worry about doing any training mate. im starting basic around January time and the last thing i ran was a bath, although i i do jog from pub to pub on the weekends.
