Post by roll_on »

i am currently swithering on on a carreer in the forces the 2 regiments tht take my fancy are paras and marines,i am goin on one of the weekend with the paras in a couple of months ,my question is though,i get prescribed painillers for my back as occassionally it gets painful, othing that would would stop from being able to train or complete any task but just enough to take a couple of painkillers, will i fail a medical for that?if ive got a sore back will i fail e medical for that either?

You can fail a medical for a bad back but the test you have to do is very basic. Just bend over and touch your toes and lean backwards and sidewards in front of the doctor. It will depend on your previous medical records as they will probably look at these. If its just soreness rather than a serious injury you'll probably be ok.
Cheers,

Just to be a picky arse the Royal Marines aren't a Regiment they are a Corps.
