Alright lads, new user here, curently in the process of applying ( passed rt and interview ), just would like to know that when you pass prmc can you choose a date for the start of your training , or are you just given one? Also any tips for increasing cv without running as i'am suffering with shin splints at the moment and dont want to stop training full stop. Cheers.
Here's a good tip for you use the search button in the top lefthand corner. If you cant find your answers, then post a thread.

Dont think about what happens after you pass the PRMC. All your thoughts and efforts should be about passing that!
If you cant run why dont you try swimming? Its just as good as running and its low impact so shouldnt be a problem if you have shin splints!
If you do decide to train with swimming then remember to add underwater swimming into your training as this is a great way to build up your cv. Also, as with running, dont take your time about it. Swim at a good pace for at least a mile or 2!
I use swiming in my training and it works out at 33 lengths to a mile. Its a nice break from running! and is good conditioning for all muscles.
