I'm just about to do my selection course but i was wondering, what percentage of people that make it past the initial selection course actually make it to the commando course? AND what percentage of those pass the commando's course? I know that ill do it but i was just wondering out of curiosity.
Cheers

Im so scared of flying that every time i go up in an aircraft i have to jump out!!!
I think that most of those who fail recruit training only fail because of injury or because they want to leave....well someone wrote that on here the other day..hehe
I doubt many people fail because of their fitness as im sure the training teams know what they are doing! I suppose its just down to whether you are mentally tough enough!
Its slightly different as its the RMR PRMC starts on the 19th of March. Training was going really well up until i screwed my ankle at the weekend skydiving. Should be fine by the time the PRMC starts though.
Are you a passed out marine already mate (robj)?

tom bryars wrote:9% of everyone who applies makes it and 5% for those wishing to be officers i think, i was at my gf's and her mum showed me a troop pic of her bro at his time at ctc and out of all the troop he had black marked those that hadnt passed out and it looked like only 6 or 7 had made it, including himself of course.
IF 9 % make it then its about
10% (Everything before PRMC)
60% (PRMC)
21% (Fail Training)
Passed PRMC 17th December 2003
Started Basic 5th July 2004 880 Troop, Jan 2005 886 Troop, June 2005 893 Troop, July 2005 895 Troop
Got MD 3rd November 2005

I think the keyword is what is the percentage that passes out in their "original" troop. Might only be 10-15% of the original troop that might passout, but alot would have been backtrooped and such and would passout later ..i've no idea on %s though really.
