I have recently (6 months) joined the RLC in hope of transferring to
4- PARA. Reason for this is due to the age 35 and wouldn’t let me join straight in. I have a good fitness level. I run regular anything upto 18 miles. keeping the pace around 7 to 7.5 M<Miles. 100 to 110 press-ups in 2 min and so on with sit ups etc.
My intention is taking into consideration ” this is my one and only chance to complete P-Coy “ to join 4 para and more importantly complete P-COY.
Is my age a problem?
Will transferring from the RLC cause a problem
Any comments/advice would be appreciated

Hi 4paraec
My aim is to pass P-coy so i think ive got a good start on my fitness- Im not saying im fit enough but good enough to start training at. I am hoping to to get through this year. Im not sure of the procedure/proccess.
Im in Mancester at the moment 236 squadron RLC. Hoping to get my transfer papers in week or so.

Alright lads,
I was wondering, does anyone know how long the basic training for 4para lasts? Im at uni just now and i dont really want it to clash with my work. Also, do 4Para have annual training camps similar to the royal marine reserves, ie, every year they train either in Norway, the jungle, or the desert?
