Hey

I'm in lew! I'm going for the Marines but I'd like to see what it's like down in the Paras training.

Duno mate, I don’t think they’ll try and kill us, after all they want us to come back... why are you going for TA if you got your prmc the week before ???

My PRMC is 2 weeks after the TA selection thing. But I'm joining the TA for military experience and just generally something to keep me occupied.

So you are joining the TA and the Marines at the same time, correct me if I'm wrong, but that is going to be a bit hard. If you are only doing TA to keep you occupied, you'll only be doing that for a couple of weeks because you start training not that long after you pass PRMC. There is another reason I think. I think you have it in your head that you wont pass PRMC and you will do TA instead if you do fail PRMC. Either way doing TA at the same time is a waste of time.
There are 3 kinds of people: those who can count & those who can't.

Nope I aren't going to fail my PRMC. It isn't an option. Im joining my local TA unit this tuesday. If you think about it its going to be 3/4 months before recruit training. What harm is there in some basic military experience?

I know it's going to be a completely different type of thing to the Marines but It's not about trying to get a head start. It's a confidence building thing and a chance to meet lots of new people and generally something to do.
