I remember there was a similar thread a while ago about the Parents not approving of their children joining in the Royal Marines section which may help you.
Or I'm sure some of the members will advise you soon.
i had a similar problem....dad couldnt wait to get shot but mam wouldnt sign the application book till i threatened following her to work and never shutting up...and bribes and black mail work such as housework, drugs, getting into trouble on purpose...
or theres the mature approach, sit her down and talk it through and convince her:)
sitting her down and talking is the mature approach and will proabably work, but it is a lot of effort. You only need one signature on the form as far as i know, but i doubt going behind your mam's back is an option. How long until your 18?
use the old "Well I'll be going in as soon as am 18 and i will resent you for the rest of my life for making me wait" line.
if this fails a quick knife hand to the side of the neck should do the trick.
stuck in a rut, unsure about the future, unsure about the military lifestyle, for a while anyway
Well sort of I picked it up of a few of the guys (about 9 or 10 aikido instructors from Chester) on that balcony but no official training was given in knife hand tactics. SAS training generally focused on growing facial hair and giving nicknames to things.

Do not as Cronkilla suggests fake the signature on any application form related to joining the Army, or fake any other signature while you are in.
According to the Law Of Murphy - you will be found out. Thus ending any chance of joining your chosen career or any other of the Services for that matter. The military have no sense of humour with regard to forging applications.
alrite kev, i havent joined the army yet because im still going through the time of joining an all that but i still needed parental consent(im 17).The way i went around getting it was to go to the carears office get all the information before i told them i wanted to join to back up my reasons for joining an it was easy to persuade them they signed straight away.
hope it helps
As the others said I reckon you should just sit her down and convince her mate, also if your Dad's cool with it, get him in on the act. I had trouble getting my mum's approval for me to join the Royal Marines even though I'm 20, LOL.
Best of luck, mate!
Josh.
Bloody hell whats up with Parents these days! Mine were practically begging me to Bog off when i decided on the Army. I told them i was Interested in the Infantry and now they try and talk me out of it!
