I am currently torn between applying to the RCB before univeristy for a bursuary and for straight officer entry into the paras. i was wondering specifically what sort of degree the paras would consider the greatest benfit to them. e.g. the signals would prefer a computing/comms degree
however there doesnt seem to be a degree in skydiving/military conduct?? please help........(ps i was thinking maybe a managemnt degree????)

DEGREES
You could try a public services degree I know they do them, that would probably be very useful...

From what I was told by the AFCO a while ago, the course you take is irrelevant; it's only required to show that you have a certain level of intelligence, maturity etc. That said, I did know one bloke who managed to get a degree in military history from somewhere (he was hoping to become an officer in the household cavalry, strange man
), but alas I've forgotten the university in question

How about a BA in War Studies?
I'm doing one this coming September, at Kings College London.
However, I think that you can do a wide variety of degrees as a lot of what they're looking for is the discipline, intelligence and effort required to get a degree, whatever it's in.
