The Saltire flag is flying at half-mast at the regimental headquarters of the 1st Battalion Black Watch in memory of Lance Corporal Barry Stephen, 31, from Scone, Perthshire who was killed in action in southern Iraq on Monday night.
The first floral tribute to be laid at the Balhousie Castle HQ was a dozen red roses. The accompanying card read: "Sorry we didn't finish it first time. God speed your buddies home", it was signed Peter.
