A prayer for our brave lads....

Post by Chester »

Like everyone, I'd like to express my condolences to the families concerned.....

I'm not deeply religious, but I've said a prayer for the families and the RM prayer for our brave lads out there.

O Eternal Lord God, who through many generations hast united and inspired the members of our Corps, grant thy blessing, we beseech thee, on Royal Marines serving all around the Globe.

Bestow Thy Crown of Righteousness upon all our efforts and endeavours, and may our Laurels be those of gallantry and honour, loyalty and courage.

We ask these things in the name of Him, whose courage never failed, our Redeemer, Jesus Christ.
Amen.

A psalm for all who serve our country at this time.

The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not be in want.
He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters, he restores my soul.
He guides me in paths of righteousness for his name's sake.

Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff they comfort me.

You prepare a table for me in the presence of my enemies.
You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows.
Surley goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.
alright
