help...im struggling getting both my elbows and my shoulders on the deck in the recline of the sit up....Do they penalise you for not being able to do this? Granted I have shoulder problems at the moment but it seems very unnatural to lay them out as stated in the fitness plan??????

Yea helped a bit Jay thanx although its alot of what i already had.
If your elbows do not hit the mat, legs do not stay together and elbows do not touch your knees and they see this they will deduct 2/3 of your score. If the person counting is generous though they might only deduct 1 or 2, even none its his dessision.

This might sound a bit daft, but Whats the fist thing with the press-ups all about? i.e how does it work?

Kev,
When you do a press up, your partner puts his clenched fist on the floor underneath your chest, so when you do the down movement of the press up, your chest has to touch his fist before you move back up.
A lot of people dont go down far enough, and struggle when they do real press ups. Practice by sticking something the size of your fist on the floor (eg. pair of socks rolled up or a tin of beans on their side) and making sure your chest touches every time you do a press up. Hope this helps

Regarding the sets of activities, like 3x15 sit ups, how long should you rest in between each set, I thought about 5 minutes, is that right or wrong?

Personaly i think 5 mins is a bit on the long side, i leave it for one minute max, usually a little shorter.
