Greetings and a couple of questions.

Alright lads,

I've been scanning this forum for about a year now, it's got some great advice and I really have valued most of the points given.

I got past my eye examination last year to be turned down directly at the medical for not having the required eye sight. Funny, but it seems my details where over looked. I was absolutley gutted!

Initially the doc told me that there's nothing I can do. I can't meet the standard. Then I heard things about Laser Eye Surgery.

My questions are;

1.) How old do you have to be? I've heard mixed answers, 21, 18 ect.
2.) How long do you have to wait after the operation to join up?
3.) Can anyone refere me to a sight with in the UK.

My vision with out glasses is below the required standard.

I'll get that green lid, this is just a minor set back!

I could probably only answer question 2 (a year), but there's been a discussion on this subject fairly recently. If you try using the search button it should find it for you. (If it's not on here then it's on www.mfat.co.uk )
If you get no joy with that, then I'm sure one of the people involved in the discussion last time will pop up with some info.
