Catterick its self is a pure shat hole! Been there once or twice for different reasons and i cant think of a worse place to live (proberly worse for civvys if theres any left) but as for the course its self, not a clue should be plenty of information in the Army section, the Army website they seem to be advertising a lot on television.
Good luck either way

Well ive trained there and all I can say is :
Take your own washing machine because the laundry is pathetic! washing comes back worse than when it went in. you'll find out!
avoid the para's!
And get used to chips and boiled potaoes thats what you will be having for the next 6 months!
Oh and enjoy the bus stops!

It ain't 'us' yet civpop
Wait until you get to the depot, it's very likely your staff won't let any of the other regiments creatures even look at you let alone come near you. Para Reg does it's own thing.
Concerning your injury, I'd just stay off it pretty much completely, and smash out a load of swimming to keep your cardio fitness up without any impact work. You're not meant to be the finished product when you arrive for training, it's the depot's job to get you fit and believe me, fitness is about 30% of the depot. Any f*cker can get fit, it's whether you've got what it takes to handle the six month mental beating that'll determine if you're still there at the end.

There is no fear, there is only the force.
