I suffer from Tinnitus and have done for quite some time.
Mine however is related to this.

Gotten so bad if I leap out of my scratcher too fast I get dizzy to the point of vomiting.
Not real funny when the alarm is on the other side of the room and the bathrooms even further away

Me too (with high tone deafness) but mine was probably caused by having a HF radio headpiece strapped to my swede on max volume and not always having time to get my ear defenders out when I needed to fire what I was carrying. In the round I don't regret it at all - deffo worth it. I have some great memories to keep me comfortable laying awake at night.
I don't think you have much to worry about in a vehicle - I'd be a bit more worried about IED's as you're no doubt aware I would have thought that the RAF is the most health and safety aware of the three arms so I doubt you'd be exposed to anything unnecessarily.
Self preservation is a good thing mate but not in the forces if it puts your oppos in danger - hopefully basic training will make you chill out about things like possible future injury. It might sound chad to some but when I was in the RM we would have died for each other without a thought.

Taxi for Mister Quasimodo
Symptoms similar to Menieres are ver popular with budgy drivers, btw.
Hi tone deafness is the sign of a mis-spent yoof, Pardon
El Prez was so badly aflicted by menieres that they eventually took him off flying and in the end he had to sack teaching on the Super Puma simulator. That`s when he turned to drink and threw himself into theoretical gynaecology
Mind you, what a trapping line
