Sorry Ben, but that's a big no-no, I'm not going to post my name.

There's no point in me lying about it though. Many of my clan were massacred, and the survivors were driven from their land by the Campbells. Long time ago though.

Seriously, I've never really thought about the Highland Clearances as being connected in any way to the act of proscription.

Money was the driving factor as sheep made more money than tenant farmers and their inefficient run-rig system.

Look at the steam jenny, and other industrial breakthroughs of the time. Factories were seen as the wave of the future, and despite sometimes dreadful conditions, workers were often better off there than living in poverty on their farms.

come on the clans only wanted one thing freedom slavin away in a factory is no freedom i might not be decended from a clan but even i got the same desire for freedom they proved they desired freedom by fightin for it time and time again and it wernt the clans wantin more money from sheep farms it was the rich english lords and traitorous cambells what wanted the money thats why tyhey massacered your forfathers to get there land
