Would the Paras have surrendered????

Post by futurerecruit »

I want to now if you guys think if the Paras would have surrendered as quickly as the Marnies did when those Iraqi boats took them prisnor the other day?????

I always thought that Marines had special training but they did nothing. They were even laughfing in the boats when they had surrendered without a fight as though they were in a pub or something!!!!!!!!

Do you think the Paras would have fought a lot better than the Marines?????

I just wanted other guys views. I think that the Paras would have probably fired on the Iraqis as they are far more Trigger Happy then any other unit.

This isnt about who is better it's about what could have been done differant!!!!

futurerecruit,

You obviously know NOTHING about being in the military and just because you have been in the cadets for a while doesnt mean jack sh*t.

I have one suggestion for you, that you stop gobbing off and listen to what people have to say or you will find yourself banned from this website.

And dont even think about starting to judge my regiment, saying that we are trigger happy. You know f*ck all about the Paras.

Mate,

Listen good....this webiste has ALOT of information on joining the army, Royal Marines, RAF whatever you want. But asking BONE questions about who is better, who would have done this, who would have done that etc is not going to get you in peoples good books.

Read all of the threads both past and present, use the information here to make up your own mind about which part of the armed forces you want to join and then start the selection process once you have finished school.

Im a serving Paratrooper, and if you have any GENUINE questions on joining The Parachute Regiment then send me a PM. If its bone i wont answer it.

Look mate just stop there, chill out and just think a little before you post. This site is full of ex and serving members who will help you out with anything you want to know. But you have posted about 10 messages in about 30 mins without thinking what your saying. You have insulted the RM's and Navy by saying what you said and you dont want to do that on here. Especially the RM's. They rule this site beleive me. :D :D

Take a day off, dont get into a slagging match with Para01 because he knows his stuff. And looking at some of your posts you dont know as much as you think you do. Your post about the RMP's wearing the same berets as the Paras had me in stiches.

Just think about what your saying and you will be alright :D

futurecruit ,every paratrooper is having a little giggle at the incident with the marines, as would the marines if it was a para reg involved, that is friendly banter, but every swinging dick hopes they get back safe asap, ive seen your post on the marines site, and you need to wind your neck in and show some respect , and also get real.

Sitting in a small boat there is very little else they could do, you can hardly dig in and fight of the hordes until helps arrives.

They could have just dived in and swam three miles underwater :o
My mates uncles daughters friend did it and he said it was easy.

When does a bone attempt at a wind-up start to get boring?
Now, probably.
