The Special Reconnaisance Regiment : SRR.

Post by Chas »

The SRR is a fully integrated part of the national SF Orbat.

Lt. Gen. Sir Rob Fry former CGRM is the Regimental Colonel.
The Commanding officer is an RM.
The RSM is RM.
Taken overall within the manoeuvre elemnts of the UKSF group
SSR - SAS and SBS, this means that the Corps dominates the
command structure of two of the three units.

Yours aye- Chas former Bootie.

Whats your point mate?

Its not like your ever going to serve there so what does it matter to you who is in charge, or who "dominates"?

Whoever designed those two badges wants pulling through with barbed wire. Pure shite, the both of them. One looks like a Greek sword swallowing club and the other looks like the new(shite) SB badge meets Liebstandarte Adolf Hitler :P
I`ll check me G&B termorrer to see what`s what.
P 01, chill out man 8)

Tell me about it.

What idiot sends a mechanised Brigade out there??? And they arn't taking vehicles either. So its non-infantry trained soldiers doing an infantrymans job.

Lets hope the Grenadier Guards and the other regt they announced today will provide the backbone.

To return this to Chas` thread and to clarify adj125`s point.
Chas`s first post is almost a direct quote from the latest G&B from an article entitled"Lt Gen Sir Rob Fry-Colonel, the Secial Reconnaissance Regiment"
The article then lists other Royal Marines Officers who have had the pleasure of commanding Army units.
I must add that this is one of the best G&Bs I have ever read 8)

Take a tot chas  :drinking:
