Post by barnseythereferee »

Just to let you know i just scored 54 on my BARB which is well above average :D :D Im really happy with this, the job briefs she printed out for me say my initial training will be at AFC harrogate, which is where i wanted to go . So if i pass selection does this mean im going to get at AFC in the next intake :) ?Cheers for all help so far

i had 85 on my barb :P

Well done mate and yeh once you pass selection if you meet the necessary standards you will be on the next available intake so long as everything is in order i.e you've passed your interview with recruiting sergeant, interview with Sergeant Major passed selection and all your medical docs have gone through...

BARB = British Army Recruit Battery.

Basically, its a test whereby you must answer the questions as quickly and as accurately as possible. If you got all questions right but took 2 hours, you'd score lower than someone who got 75% right but took 1 hour. (Times arent accurate so dont try flaming, Ive got a fire putter outter thing (cant spell it))

What type of questions do they ask?

"If Bob is taller than Jim, who is smaller?"

"What is the odd one out?: 1) Chair 2) Seat 3)Table"

There are other types too but i can't remember what they are. They aren't particulary difficult, its just the time factor that could mess you up. Not hard if you have a brain cell though
