criminal records - rmp/int corps

Post by Mike85 »

would a conviction for common assault stop you from being accepted for rmp/int corps?

i've heard mixed views!

Really depends how long ago it was.

If it was in the last five-ten years, it might be iffy. Any older than that, you might skate it.

Really a matter of wait and see - have you actually applied yet, or is this still up in the air?

The only people who will give you an accurate answer are those at the AFCO.

Mike, i had a conviction for shoplifting when i joined up but it was classed as a spent offence as it was a few years before i joined, about 2 or 3 i think.
As has been previously posted the best and most upto date advice would be from your AFCO.
Good luck anyway mate and keep us updated!
