My Step Father Mr Ken Pooley

Post by goldie ex rmp »

I know he wasn't forces but he was a bloody good bloke.

When we had big family get togethers and i was asked about the Army and my older brother the Navy he would always try to slide into the conversation that he was in the Merchant service, obviously we laughed at him and told him that it didnt count but the daft old bugger would still go on and on.

Ken died May 19th this year and i still miss him so much.

My older brother has put a few things on a website www.kenpooley.com so that he will be in cyber space for ever.........................or at least untill our kid stops paying for the domain name lol

He is one of the reasons i will be running in the 2007 London Marathon for cancer as he passed away 3 weeks after being told that he had lung cancer, my mate died the same month from bowel cancer.

Anyway i just thought that i would put Ken up among the other brave troops etc on this forum.

Stand down Ken and stop letting me smell those bloody awfull vanilla car fresheners every now and again your frightening me :D :D :D
