Aerial punch

Post by JR »

 Aerial support for the Bootnecks who take up the lead role in quelling the Taliban insurgency Will be provided by the Fleet Air Arm's front line 800 squadron.
A spokesman for the Squadron stated that supporting the marines in the Campaign makes their mission all the more inportant."They are our 'oppo's' on the ground"said one of the pilots "we are supporting our own,so this is an incredibly important mission for us.

Once again close air support at its best, Best of luck to the lads deploying.Aye jr

I just looked up the RN website because I knew that the "original" 800 squadron had been disbanded.

Looked at some of the phots and there are still faces I remember. They are a cracking squadron and will support the troops well.
There are are two kinds of people:

Those who say to god, "Thy will be done", and those to whom god says, "Alright then, have it your way".

My sentiments as well. If we wanted anything done in NI, we just waited until the Navy boy were on call.
Good luck lads.
