Well Marina, here we are, five years to the day since Al Quaida`s most deadly assault on the West. Brutally executed, meticulously planned and our world will never be the same again. A strong man was needed to lead the West’s response but we didn`t have one.
We had Dubya propped up by Rumsfeld and Wolfabitch. We’ve watched their inept responses, sending increasing numbers in harm’s way to no effect in the so called war on terror. Dick Clarke and Colin Powell both resigned rather than be associated with the fcuk ups of the Bush regime. Not Tony Bliar though, he thinks it`s a great idea.
How hard would they have had to try to come up with the situation we have, today? A total success, obviously.
I remember watching the WTC footage live at work and thinking about those poor bastards stuck inside.
They deserved a better response than we’ve seen over the last five years.
Here’s to them, a sad day for us all.
