Rod Tuck - a legend

Post by Pilgrim Norway »

Just received my latest Globe & Laurel -

Very sad to see Rod Tuck in the obituaries......

Captain R.F. Tuck RM who many of us Old and Bold will remember with
affection and respect. I had the pleasure of knowing Rod from the running,
skiing and 'stunts' from the Med, Aden and here in Norway where I had the
opportunity of assisting him at Kvitåvatn and ran some good races in his
company. Rod's achievements stand as a record of Royal Marines grit.

It would be appreciated if someone could 'lift' the text from the G&B over
here - many would benefit from the reading -

With Rod Tuck nothing was impossible - it just took a bit of work - and guts.

Rest well.

I remember him from Ryjukan, he was a skiing legend.

Rest easy, Sir.
