hayfever in the regiment

Post by jamie_jet »

how big a deal is hayfever when trying to join the regiment? Its not on the list of medical bars but then the list is not exhaustive. I'm a very mild sufferer never had prescribed medication or an inhaler or anything

Cheers

I put that I had very mild hayfever and was not taking any medication - which i'm not - and I was described as temporarily unfit and unable to do any aircrew positions for 4 years.

I am still fit for groundcrew and am applying as a supply officer.

I've since found out i don't even have hayfever...it's a stupid dairy allergy! This has cleared up 99% since I've stopped having dairy products.

Accupuncture is also meant to be very good for mild hayfever.

My advice if it's not on your med docs then don't mention it!
