Booties on Albion, Bulwark and Ocean

Booties on Albion, Bulwark and Ocean
Question on who the ships company booties on Albion, Bulwark and Ocean are attached to... are they seperate units or are they taken from one of the 3 commando units? Also quick question on their structure, are there officers among them or are they just marines and nco's...

Technically they are not Ships Company but attached to the Ship.
As in they are members of the Assault Squadron assigned to the respective Ships. And no they have nought to do with 3 CDBDERM. They also come under the Navy Act. Whilst Shoreside Bootnecks come under the Army Act.
Which is good in some ways but bad in others as in an NCO can have his stripes removed by the ships captain whilst onboard without recourse to a Court Martial.
And yes they do have their own officers. OCRM is normally a Captain RM. With a LT RM as his number two. Plus a WO2 RM as the Squadron Sgt/Major. Each LCU is commanded by a C/SGt RM. Whilst each LCVP has a CPL RM in charge. Then there is the Signals Sect, the Vehicle Sect (Drivers and VM's). Basically each Squadron is self contained but ultimately they still all come under the control of the ships captain.
