British Naval Ship to Host First Gay Wedding
By Angela D’Amboise
(London, UK) – A battleship in the Royal Navy will host its first gay wedding later this week as a senior Navy officer is taking advantage of the United Kingdom’s recent legalization of civil unions by tying the knot with his longtime boyfriend
Lieutenant Commander Jim Phillips will form a civil partnership with Marcus Rutter on Saturday aboard HMS Warrior, according to Reuters.

Is the "RN Battleship" detailed in the news report, the big old lump sat in Pompey dockyward ?
If so, then the report is a little bit out of context!! I take it that anyone can get married on her, as no doubt the noofters could of got married at Fratton Park with the right licence.
It's not exactly the same as the RN giving them the big send off, swords out (easy) on the deck of Iron Duke !!
Bleeping Funny though !!
Can't wait to wind up the father-in-law!
