my AFCO has phoned with a joing up date which is 27 of march is that enough time to get fit,

You've the training program. Whether or not you want some bloke telling you how to get there is up to you.
Personally, I'd spend it on the lash and get there with hard work. Then again, Mr. Hackedoff and Artist would tell you I need a note from my mother to crack on with training.
You're a lucky f@#k, I hope it goes well for you there.

Going commando,
I had two weeks training then summer leave, and because of this they changed parents day to week four and therefore the long weekend was in week four aswell, rather than week 3.
Dont let your easter leave let you settle back in to civvy street.
As for the ten week programme, i joined 4 weeks after passing PRMC, and did not even take mine with me, as the PRMC team told us not to bother with it. The training team did not ask for it when we got there and the troop PTI never mentioned it either. Take it with you filled out to put mind at ease, but dont worry about it.
good luck mate,

Going commando,
I opted out during training.BIG BIG mistake, plain and simple, DONT do it, its not the easy way out. I,m planning to re-join as soon as possible once my uni course has finished in july.
As for a golf team i couldn,t tell for sure, but there is a lot of sport played i should imagine once your out of training, someone who is currently serving willbe able to shed some more light on that.
Good luck with it mate and just stick it out.

going_commando,
No worries mate, i,ll be honest, as i dont believe the "it wasnt for me" line that many people give when they opt out.
I wrapped when i felt i couldn,t cope with it any more, i let things get to me to much and worried to much about things. Instead of worrying about the next day or week i should have just kept on with the current day and taken each day, morning etc at a time.
I was too worried about farking up in case i got a dressing down or a beasting, and in the end this got to me and i went a little mad.
I realise now that really in some way farking up is what its all about....if you could do everything well to begin with, it wouldn,t be training. If you fark up, just take it on the chin learn from it and dont do it again, or stand by.
Anyway mate just keep a smile on your face and whatever happens just try and find the best in it.
Good luck
