Twitchy Mum.

Post by flighty »

It's what he signed up for with my blessing and he has turned his life around as a result.

I am as proud as f*ck of him.

We were given an idea that his gang would be off to Afghanistan early this year and today that has been verified.

I might be a PROUD mum but now we have official notice that my baby is offski to do what he has been well trained to do my arse is very, very twitchy.

Cried a bit today..... but still 10000000% behind my lad!

God speed the lad and a safe return after a job well done. 8)

We have to let our young`uns fly on their own once they leave the nest.
Painfull as it may be, they are best suited to make their own decisions Flighters.
Bite yer tongue and let him get on with it.

Jayne, he'll be right... head down and bum down. He could always get some lessons from Jed AKA The Corps Hide and Seek Champion!

They seek him here...

Jayne, a wee bit of advice, try and ignore the media. Difficult I know but like many others the wife and I have got the T shirt, she's had hers for 40+ years I've only had mine for the passed 20+.
Everybodys arse twitches when incidents are reported on the news, they don't seem to give a bugger to the families and friends of the unit involved who had not yet been informed.

Hi Jayne '
Don't be worrying about him, he's a big lad now!
Tell him to look me up at Camp Souter! ( not difficult as I'll be the only RAFP Snco there! :-? )
Don't get in the habit of watching the news trying to get a glimpse of him or waiting for impending doom, it'll make the tour seem like forever!

Don't worry I'll keep an eye out for him! (not sure if that might make you worry even more! )

I was rather hoping we could get Ben there and back before his Nan realised he was missing ...... she is a professional worrier! However, some bright spark within the family has bubbled us and now she is telling all and sundry that he going to a) Pakistan b) Bangkok ..... depending on the time of day she is watching the news. :o

Looking on the bright side, though, there is nothing she likes better than a good old worry and so she should be well set up to drive us all up the bleedin' wall for the foreseeable future.

It's all old hat to you and yours and 'respeck' to you all. I can sense via the phone calls and texts that Me Laddo is twitchy, wants to be off and get stuck in. Will he get leave while he is there?

We don't have a clue. :o

Hopefully, he will be home this weekend for Benjo's 21st ...... and a farewell good bash. :drinking:
