Damaged boots

Hi
I passed my PRMC about 6 weeks ago and i've done a pretty good job of breaking in my boots and they are very comfortable now. The only problem is that they've got some serious scuff marks on them. Mainly at the front above the toes and a few scuffs on the sides.
I've tried polishing them over and over again, rubbing them with a hot spoon, and dabbing polish into the scuffs but nothing works.
I don't really want to turn up to training with damaged boots. It probably seems like a little insignificant thing, but its one more thing that I dont want/need punished for.
Does anyone know how to sort this out and make them look brand spanking new again? Or should I buy a new pair?
Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks
Mark
